Anthony Stevens, Offering Manager, Watson Deep Learning, IBM Advanced analytics and AI based workloads are projected to be one of the fastest growing workloads in the Cloud. With the rise of Apache Spark in the Big data ecosystem, there is an emerging trend to conduct deep learning leveraging existing data processing pipelines to support feature engineering and traditional machine learning. BigDL is an open source distributed deep learning framework organically built on Apache Spark. IBM Data Science Experience (DSX), that also runs on Apache Spark, allows data teams to collaborate on big data and machine learning projects. In this session led by IBM and Intel's data science experts, we will teach how to leverage BigDL workloads in the popular IBM DSX environment to solve real world deep learning problems.
