Jonathan Ballon is vice president of Intel's IoT business unit. Ballon manages multiple profitable segments, plans new businesses and builds business models while creating higher revenues. In addition, his responsibilities include expanding the share of all IoT segments through multiple marketing channels and methods. His main concern is how to use technology to improve the environment, improve human productivity, improve education, promote health and prolong life. Prior to joining Intel, he served as Chief Strategy Officer for the General Electric Digital Group, where he co-authored the company's Industrial Internet strategy, creating more than $500 billion in productivity opportunities for industrial customers. Prior to joining Intel, Ballon served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer of GE's Industrial Internet Business. He also served as Corporate Vice President of Cisco, where he headed the Strategy and Planning Department. Currently, he is a consultant and board member of several Silicon Valley startups and enterprise accelerators. Ballon holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego, and has an excellent academic record. He also holds an MBA in Strategic Planning and Operations Management from the University of Pittsburgh.
